Garden services

Vortega develops garden briefs and provides agreed landscaping and maintenance work. Site conditions, proposed planting, materials, labour and care arrangements are confirmed before a project begins.

Garden design

A direction built around site use, light, movement and planting preferences. Survey needs, drawings and the level of detail are agreed for the design scope.

Explain how the garden will be used and which existing elements should stay. A design proposal should define its deliverables, while construction or additional technical work needs its own agreement.

Planting and landscaping

Plant selection and physical work planned around actual site conditions. Materials, preparation and installation are itemised before the project begins.

Plant selection follows light, soil, drainage and the intended scale. Availability and substitution should be discussed before planting, rather than assuming every plant in a reference can be supplied locally.

Plant care

Attention to established planting and its current condition. Pruning, soil care and replacement planting require an assessment rather than a universal treatment.

Identify the planted areas and the work that matters most. Pruning, weeding, feeding and replacement are distinct tasks; a maintenance visit should state which of them are included.

Regular maintenance

A recurring care plan with defined tasks and visit arrangements. Frequency depends on planting, weather and site use, and is confirmed with the client.

Discuss access, garden condition and preferred priorities before setting a repeat arrangement. Seasonal changes and plant development may require a different focus from one visit to the next.

Know the scope before you decide.

A garden is more than its first photograph. Sunlight, drainage, movement and ongoing care shape whether a planting plan works. We begin with the site and the time its owner can give to maintenance, then discuss a direction that suits both.

Notice where sunlight falls during the day and where water remains after rain. These observations help explain the site, although drainage or structural concerns may need a more specific assessment.
